Cheryl Wylie, MSc.PT

Cheryl is a certified vestibular physiotherapist, completing her Master of Physiotherapy Degree from McMaster University in 2010 and then her Vestibular Certification from Emory University in 2017. She is passionate about helping those with vestibular, concussion and TMJ disorders and has devoted her whole practice to this field.

She founded Healing Vertigo with a mission to improve access to vestibular care. Not only does she provide 1:1 vestibular rehabilitation in Hamilton, ON and virtually across Ontario, she also partnered with Embodia to train other healthcare providers in vestibular rehabilitation and BPPV treatment. During the pandemic, she saw the need for alternative BPPV treatment options and developed the Healing Vertigo App, a BPPV resource tool which is available worldwide on any mobile device.

Cheryl is highly involved in the vestibular community - she is a pround member of the Canadian Headache Society and is a also VeDA Ambassador. In her spare time, Cheryl is passionate about sailing and loves the sailing lifestyle. She has sailed close to 10,000nm and travelled to 18 different countries on her sailboat. When she isn't sailing you can find her hiking in Dundas Valley, cycling, or cross-stitching! On a personal note, Cheryl is a cancer survivor and has recovered from a spinal cord injury, making her a unique practitioner in understanding the impacts of life changing events. She is a strong believer in mindset and incorporates this into every aspect of her life and work.
